Bellevue/Lake stoplight update

January 2, 2017

A four-way traffic light with turn arrows has been installed at the entrance to the campus.  The team is working to adjust the timing of the lights to adapt to traffic flow and minimize delays.

The team is aware that initial activation of the traffic light and the alteration to the westbound Bellevue turnoff caused significant delays on the afternoon and evening of December 6th.

For safety reasons, the final design of the intersection eliminated the westbound turn lane from Lake Road to Bellevue Road.   However, given the delays experienced, the team will be testing alternative timing cycles in early 2018 in order to control traffic.   We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration.
