Program development for UC Merced's campus expansion was a time intensive process involving stakeholders across the campus community.
UC Merced's campus expansion included two broad categories: space to address critical existing needs and space needed to accommodate growth to 10,000 students. From the classroom space to research labs, developing the preliminary program was a time intensive process that required a fundamental reconsideration of typical capital development processes and a rigorous quantification of lifecycle costs.
