On Thursday, December 22, the construction team relocated a primary campus network fiber connection. This fiber line, which serves as a backbone for internet services, required the team to cut the existing line, pull the fiber out of the conduit, reroute it and resplice it to restore connectivity to CENIC, UC Merced’s internet provider.
